Recent Information Emerge About the Location of the Reiner Couple's Remains

Recent details have emerged regarding the untimely deaths of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and photographer Michele Singer Reiner, whose remains were located at their Los Angeles home home on Sunday.

The Alarm

A source indicates quoting a family associate, a massage therapist scheduled for an appointment initially became concerned after being unable to gain access the home. The therapist then got in touch with the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who resides close by.

When she went into the residence, Romy came upon her father's body. Reports state she then left the home distraught, not realizing at that moment that her mother's body was also inside. Her roommate who had gone with her promptly called 911. Following this, first responders found Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Legal Developments

The police have formally accused the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with two counts of premeditated murder, as well as the use of a dangerous weapon, said to be a knife. He is currently detained without bail.

Correcting the Record

The anonymous source also disputed several initial details. The source indicated that while Romy Reiner told emergency responders that her brother Nick resided in a separate structure on the grounds, she did not identify him as a suspect at that juncture.

Additionally pushed back against published suggestions that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been unusually "apprehensive" about Nick's actions in the preceding period. Rather the family was "accustomed to working through [Nick's] problems together."

The statement applies to descriptions of reportedly "unpredictable" behavior by Nick at a party held by Conan O'Brien the evening prior to the tragedy. While the source noted they were not in a position to confirm whether Rob had "scolded" his son at the party, they maintained that suggestions of a "major confrontation" between the two were inaccurate.

Investigation Timeline

As stated by law enforcement officials, the coroner had yet to determine at that point whether the Reiners died late on Saturday or on Sunday. Some accounts indicated the condition of their bodies implied they had been deceased for a number of hours.

Nick Reiner was arrested at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Exposition Park area, some 15 miles from the scene. He was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, but his attorney, Alan Jackson, indicated his client had not been medically cleared and would not be present until Wednesday or later.
