Prior to his departure, one final question came up. As a huge Manchester United fan, he has been requested to display his trophies at Old Trafford before. So could he be convinced to do it again after his latest triumphs?

"If they stop conceding multiple scores in Manchester," he answered with a grin. "They're getting better. There's a hint of optimism around."

Following a 2025 for the ages, it's no wonder that he is focusing on the bright side.
