Trio Named as Finalists for Young Sports Star Honour

English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the upcoming Young Sports Star of the Year award.
The trio have been recognised for their remarkable achievements over the previous year.
Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses win Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the very first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a historic innings.
Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his sensational debut year.
The finalists were unveiled on a widely-listened-to radio show.
The 2025 recipient will be revealed live on the annual sports awards show on December 18th.
The ceremony will be broadcast from seven in the evening GMT.
The Football Star

A mere three months after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.
She was introduced as a substitute to score crucial late equalisers in both the knockout stage games.
Her incredible contributions led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.
Subsequently, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the finest emerging star on the continent.
She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.
Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.
"To be named a finalist for this honour is a privilege," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans."
The Darts Prodigy

The year started for Littler in spectacular fashion as - while still 17 - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.
He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth competitor to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.
His success continued - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the first time.
At 18, he is the most youthful player to do so, smashing the previous record.
"To receive a nomination for this award again is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a highlight for me and I've had another unbelievable 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."
The Cricket Sensation

Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and rose to fame with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.
Her sublime 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.
It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a major league or full member T20 international.
Perrin ended up as runner-up in the run-scoring charts and was named the Professional Cricketers' Association's top young women's player.
"I'm truly honoured to be nominated for the young athlete award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it encourages more girls to get into cricket."
