An extensive extended journey around the Land Down Under has been cancelled days after the fatal incident of an senior woman who was stranded by the ship on a remote island.

The elderly woman had been walking on the remote island with other travelers from the vessel, but broke off from the excursion for a pause. The ship departed without her and went back later that day after the personnel became aware the passenger was missing.

A major rescue mission located her body the subsequent day.

Investigative bodies are examining the tragedy, alongside police and the state coroner.

The CEO of the voyage organizer announced that passengers and staff on the Coral Adventurer were informed that the continuation of the cruise had been cancelled due to the "unfortunate death and earlier technical problems".

Through an announcement, he mentioned that passengers would be provided a full refund, and said the operator was working "to coordinate the homeward trips of the travelers via private aircraft".
